Barbara is a talented insurance professional with over 20 years in the Property and Casualty business. Her background
includes marketing, business development and account management with clients in the U.S. and overseas. She has worked for a reinsurance broker
and as an account executive in the alternative market division of a major reinsurance company, which has provided her with a broad exposure to
operations and expertise within the industry.
Prior to joining Bonifield Associates, she was Vice President of AM-RE MANAGERS, INC., where her focus was on generating qualified business opportunities
in the alternative market. Barbara initiated and managed key marketing strategies, which required working with agents, brokers, TPAs, insurance companies,
risk management consultants and their clients. While many of her marketing projects involved the integration of internal resources and a team approach,
the generation of new business and developing client relationships required outside contact with producers, risk managers, administrators, consultants
as well as other technical experts.
Ms. Best began her career at Towers Perrin Reinsurance after graduating from Rider College with a BA in 1974. From an entry-level position with
responsibility for the "back room" activity associated with hundreds of reinsurance contracts, she rapidly progressed to a marketing and production
role as a consultant, and in 1985, was elected principal of the firm. At Towers Perrin, Barbara had the opportunity to develop relationships at all
levels with her international clients and reinsurance markets in North America.
A proponent of continuing education, Barbara has earned the CPCU and ARE (Associate in Reinsurance) designations, as well as adding a recruiting
industry designation, the CPC in 1999.
With her unique background and understanding of insurance and reinsurance operations, Barbara welcomes the opportunity to work with clients and their
